Local Authorities are consulting!

Residents and all stakeholders in our towns, villages and countryside can say what matters most to them in their communities.

The county council, unitary councils and the district councils are engaging in a variety of ways with their populations through on-line surveys and some public events.

See below  for a list of the authorities and the links to the surveys and other information.  Most of the surveys close in a couple of weeks or so.  Organisations of all types, including parish councils can respond.  Please help us to ensure that the voices of towns and parishes are heard by responding as a council.  Our sector is not mentioned in the information about LGR and is referred to once in the district council surveys. Please help us to keep our profile visible.

If you haven’t already, please also publicise the existence of your district and unitary council’s and county council’s surveys to your residents.  At the very least they will provide a snapshot of what is important to the communities in your district and may help you in thinking about and planning for the services you provide to your own community in the future.
DALC is planning to hold more online events on LGR for parish and town councils in the autumn starting in September.  These will be a chance for us to give updates on what we know at that point and for you to ask questions, voice concerns, moan, vent, and give us any feedback, requests, suggestions or anything else.
