We always love hearing from member councils at this time of year, with details of how you’ve been celebrating in your communities! A huge thank you to those councils who have sent us some pictures!
Christmas in Crediton took place on 29 November, run by the town council. It included performances from local choirs and schools, morris dancing, stalls, a free Santa’s grotto, children’s art activities provided by Daisi and Crediton Youth Service. Even the Grinch made an appearance to turn on the lights after the lantern procession!

Cornwood held their well supported Christmas lights switch on; they were lucky to dodge the rain and were able to raise money from refreshments which will go to the school PTA towards the swimming pool.

Moretonhampstead Parish Council shared photos of their annual Christmas Lights Switch-On and Market, which brought together residents and visitors for an afternoon of festive celebration. Live music and market stalls culminated in the illumination of the lights, which are brightening the streets throughout December.
The parish council is grateful to volunteers, local businesses, and performers who all played a vital role in ensuring the smooth running and success of the event.
